Uncontrollably Fond Korean Drama Review
Uncontrollably Fond is a twenty episode Korean drama about a pair of lovers who reunite after years of separation. This uplifting tale shows the change and growth of two people who once shared a bond. It also offers some of the best performances from Kim Woo Bin, who plays Joon Young. But be warned: Uncontrollably Fond is not for the faint-hearted! Unless you love Kim Woo Bin, you won’t be able to finish this drama!
The ending of Uncontrollably Fond is incredibly moving. While the story arc is rather conventional, the film manages to leave you feeling emotionally spent and wanting more. Unlike many Kdramas of today, Uncontrollably Fond’s ending is understated and realistic, similar to those found in ‘Start Up’ and ‘Mr. Jong.’ But the climax is the most poignant part of the drama.
The film also shows a very touching relationship between Joon-young and Hye Jin. Although they’re dating, the couple were still able to be friends despite their differences. Shin Young Ok played the role of Joon-young’s mother and wanted her son to follow in his footsteps as a prosecutor. Despite her feelings, however, she has trouble supporting her son’s decision to pursue a different path. However, she did not know Joon-young was dying, and she was left to deal with it alone.
The chemistry between the two leads is genuinely sweet and endearing. The chemistry between the two actors is believable and well-developed. Their two characters are a joy to watch, and it’s great to see the relationship develop between two characters as the story progresses. There are some awkward moments where they seem to be awkward, but this just adds to the charm and appeal. The drama has some wonderful twists and turns that will keep you hooked till the very end.
While the main characters are quite good, the show often features several weak points. Noh Eul’s character is particularly disappointing. She has an intense crush on Joon Young but had backed away from it for her friend. While this is understandable, her character seems a bit bland at first. But she does become more self-centered and ends up doing all sorts of things for money. If this is the case, it’s probably not worth watching.
The female lead is a classic underdog. She lost her father in an accident and lives with the weight of injustice. The opposing female main, Kim Woo Bin, plays a rich, cocky actor who has feelings for Bae Suzy since high school. The opposing female main completes the love triangle. However, the movie does not really work for those who are easily fazed by glamour.
The romantic relationships in this drama are not without their problems. Joon Young’s feelings for Eul are incredibly complex. His feelings for Eul are complicated, and his guilt makes it hard for him to stay away from her for years. While Joon Young is committed to keeping his relationship with Eul as smooth as possible, he is also consumed with guilt. As a result, he feels a sense of guilt for having left her with such a painful situation.
