STORYLINE

“Candle in the Tomb” is a Chinese drama series based on the novel “Ghost Blows Out the Light” by Zhang Muye. The series follows the adventures of Hu Bayi, a skilled tomb raider and explorer, as he and his team search for ancient treasures and artifacts hidden in the tombs and ruins of ancient civilizations. Along the way, they must confront danger and solve mysteries as they uncover the secrets of the past. The series aired on Tencent Video from October to November 2016 and stars Jin Dong as Hu Bayi and Chen Qiao En as Wu Sansheng. It was followed by a sequel series, “Candle in the Tomb: The Lost Caverns,” which aired in 2017.
